I created this Ultimate Guide to make it easier for you to shop the BYB Sale. It has a Table of Contents with links to different sections so that you can easily navigate around the post. I have included information on the Individual Bundles, Premium Products, the Build Your OWN options, cheapest deals, best deals, and a Bonus Spreadsheet you can use to keep track of what you want to buy. You may want to consider printing part or all of this Ultimate Guide because it includes lists of all bundles and products. You can then highlight the items that you are interested in.

Before we get into the Guide, I thought I’d share some tips with you for shopping.

You’ll want to ask yourself a few questions before you begin deciding what you want out of this sale:

How much do I want to spend?
How much time do I have to shop?
What age groups are my children?
For what subjects do I need curriculum?
What can I purchase that will save me money in the future?

Budget is your first priority, followed by the needs of your homeschool. If time is an issue, you may want to consider just shopping the Individual Bundles and the Premium Products because it can take time to go through everything for the Build Your OWN option. Finally, consider that you could potentially save yourself a lot of money in the future by buying products now for older children. After all, it’s not every day that you can purchase homeschool curriculum at such a HUGE discount.

Another option, if you have a bit more to spend, is to do the Buy 2 Get 1 FREE. In that situation, you get three of the four bundles mentioned above for $19.90.

The bundles you choose will depend on your wants and needs. If you want materials for your home and family, you’ll want the Homemaking and Healthy Families Bundles (plus a third $9.95 one of choice). If you are looking for curriculum, the Thematic Units and Mystery Bundles are your best bet (plus a third $9.95 one of choice). You get the most for your money if you get the three that are valued the most: the Thematic Units, Healthy Families and Mystery Bundles.

FYI: While I can’t reveal the contents of the Mystery Bundle to you, I can tell you that it has products for elementary through high school and the subjects covered are math, language arts, science, history, and art. Not every subject covered is for all age groups, however.

Bonus Spreadsheet

If you want a shopping tool that includes education level, subject category, publisher, price, and more, I have a bonus Airtable spreadsheet that you can use. Here’s how you can use it.

First, sign up for a free Airtable account.

Next, click here to open up the 2017 Build Your Bundle Spreadsheet.

Now click copy base in the upper right. You now have your own copy of the database in your Airtable account.

Open up the database if you haven’t already done so and start exploring.

If you mouse over the titles in the first column (not counting the numbers), you’ll see a circle with a double arrow pop up. If you click on that, you will get an easy-to-read, expanded record of that item.

There is a tab for Individual Bundles, one for Build Your Own Choices, and one for Students.

Under the first tab, Individual Bundles, you’ll find the bundle names, prices, values, a WANT check box column, a BUY check box column, links to bundles, and a list of the products in the bundles.

Under the second tab, Build Your Own Choices, you’ll find the products, values, WANT, BUY, students, product links, education level, categories, bundles, and publishers.

Under the third tab, Students, you’ll find a place for your children’s names, items for them, and notes. I suggest you start by filling out your children’s names first because then you will bring them up in the Students column of the second tab by clicking a cell and the plus symbol.

There’s a search box in the upper right that you can use to find specific publishers, products, categories, etc. There are also Filter, Sort, and Group options that will make it easier for you to find and organize things.

I suggest you play with this spreadsheet and use the WANT and BUY check boxes to make it easier to keep track of what you want to purchase.
