Knowing the rules of the English language can help children and teens learn to spell well. That’s why I decided to hunt for some YouTube channels for you that teach spelling rules.
I found a few that will help you out. They are geared for ages 6 to adult. Most are about American spelling but I did find one for people in the United Kingdom.
As a bonus, I included one channel set up for spelling bee participants in case you have a special “bee” in your home.

YouTube Channels That Teach Spelling Rules
John Fulford – The author of The Complete Guide to English Spelling Rules has 20+ videos on spelling rules and linguistic terminology.
Nessy – Nessy has child-friendly videos with reading and spelling strategies.
Howtospelluk – This British YouTube channel teaches spelling rules and tips to adults.
Scripps National Spelling Bee – This channel doesn’t have spelling rules, but if you have a child who is preparing for the Scripps National Spelling Bee, it has some helpful information. Plus your kids can just get inspired by watching other kids spell those challenging words.
