I was browsing around YouTube the other day and I found a real gem…a complete cursive writing course with practice pages.
This course was created by the HEV Project. HEV stands for Homeschool Educational Videos. It was developed by John, a homeschooling dad and teacher.
The course takes a developmental approach to teaching cursive, which I like. Instead of beginning with the letter ‘a’ and going to ‘z’, it groups letters by shapes and strokes.
There are 33 video lessons in this course with links to a Google Drive folder that has practice pages. Your child can use these pages while watching the videos.
The videos are very short, about 4 minutes or less, so they won’t take a good deal of your homeschool time.
If you are interested in using this course with your kids, here’s the link:
If you’d like to see what else HEV has, check out it’s website here:

I am a youth librarian and was recently asked by one of our teenage patrons to teach him how to write in cursive. Many Texas schools do not teach cursive any longer. So I am using your curriculum.
Thank you!
