I think that a globe is essential for teaching certain aspects of geography because it’s much more realistic than a map. Globes also show shape, direction, and distance more accurately since they are not distorted like a map.
Now before you start to worry about the cost of a globe, you’ll be happy to know that you can get one pretty inexpensively. I looked around online and found some for under $30. I have them listed for you below. And while there are more expensive globes available, I figured you’d want to save a bit of money with the cheaper versions.
There are two types of globes in the list below, standard and inflatable. While the standard look very nice on a desk or bookcase, the inflatable version can take up less space since it can be deflated when you’re not using it.
