If you are looking for an inexpensive musical instrument that will grow with your young child and can be used to teach some of the fundamentals of music, you might want to get a melody harp. Melody harps are designed so that you can slide a special, easy-to-read music sheet under the strings. These sheets have carefully placed notes that line up with the strings so that your child can read them left to right as he plays the harp. The instrument is played with a pick so it won’t hurt young fingers.
I purchased a melody harp when my kids were young and they loved it! I still have it and plan to keep it for future grandchildren.
I have some melody harps for you today that you can take a look at. They are considerably less expensive than a piano or orchestral instrument. They are suitable for children ages 2 and up to play.
